Gohan's study session

heh, this is for the lovly ~genaminna!
Gena-samma offered me a free picture, but I felt bad about simply getting a gift without giving one in return. I know how busy she is, so the least she deserved was a request from me ^^

she asked for Gohan and Videl slightly after they were married. (she loves the couple ^^)
well, to be honest I was slightly puzzled at what she meant. the only time "slightly" after they were married was at the VERY ending eppisodes of Z where pan is a little girl (4?) and Videl had short hair.

this is supposed to be slightly AFTER that I suppose. Pre GT, post Z, and Gohan is trying to sudy for colledge enterence exams.
His constand studdying in the, sometimes in the dark, is what leads him to haveing glasses. (in my mind, NO SAIYAN'S DO NOT HAVE BAD EYES, Gohan stressed his out. Bulma's a human, and Trunks wears them to look proffesional!)

well, Videl is bored of sittin' around watching Gohan Study his time away. So she starts flirting with him. When he shows no signs of putting his book down, she resorts to a second route;
taking his new glasses away.

finally he looks up from his book:

"h-hey! Videl! I need those."
"not as much as I need you, now put that book down and pay attention to ME for a bit!" >3
"..." O//////O

okay, so yeah that was a random little idea that it came from, but I thought it was cute.
*sighs* I was really proud of this one, and then when I saved it my computer randomly decided to be an evil piece of she-ite and curse me with the "evil look of scabbly look of doom" agian.
kami... I don't know why it does this!
if you look at the corner of Gohan's shirt (bottom left) and the top of Videl's hair (part where the shine begins) you can see what I mean.
I think the probem was after I started coloring was when I drew in the couch, on a different program, and for some reason this messes with is and makes eveything look bad no matter what you do after you save it.
:frusterated: yeah.... it really pisses me off... T__T
well, it didn't turn out as bad as some peices... some I have had to totally start over again just cause of how it saved...

what I like:

+Videl's eyes
+Videl's hair
+Videl's shirt (before the scrabble attack)
+Gohan's shirt (before the scrabble attack)
+Gohan's glasses (before the scrabble attack)
+both their skin (before the scrabble attack... T___T )

what I dislike:
-the couch(still can't do leather)
-the nameless book
-everthing that the scrabble attack ruined....

well, it still looks okay. I'm just mad about all that, so plz forgive my rant?
considering this was the first time I EVER drew Videl and the fourth time I've drawn Gohan (the last time being almost 4 years ago) I think I did pretty well for myself!
